Robertson advances to flight C title at ITA Central Regional

Brownsburg, Ind. Millikin men's tennis players Colin Klein, Nicolas Siqueira, and Blake Robertson continued play on Saturday at the ITA Central Regional Championship in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Colin Klein and Nicolas Siqueira entered the round of 16 in men's doubles as the only non-seeded team remaining. The duo from the 217 continued their run with an 8-5 victory over Rowan Matorin and Leon Chen of Case Western Reserve, advancing to the quarterfinals. Their tournament run came to an end in the quarterfinals, as the University of Chicago's Jesse Yang and Chase Kelley defeated the Big Blue pair, 8-3.

Blake Robertson opened Flight C singles play on Saturday with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 victory over Alma College's Daniel Hickey. The senior advanced to the Round of 16, where he faced Illinois Wesleyan's Brandon Wong. Robertson once again cruised to a straight-set victory, defeating Wong 6-2, 6-0 to advance to the quarterfinals.

Robertson continued his run through Flight C by winning both the quarterfinals and semifinals matches by walkover. With the two victories, Robertson has advanced to the Flight C singles championship match, where he will compete for the title Sunday morning on Day Three of the ITA Central Regional Championship.
