DECATUR, Illinois — Five Millikin University baseball players were named to the 2026 Academic All-District® teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Millikin players named Academic All-District® for NCAA III include:
Sophomore pitcher Caleb Akins (Troy, Ohio, H.S.), a biology (pre-med) major
Sophomore infielder Pete Britton (Dieterich, H.S.), a finance major
Sophomore pitcher Matthew Brummer (Decatur, St. Teresa H.S.), a biology/chemistry major
Senior outfielder Sam Bushur (Teutopolis, H.S.), a finance major
Sophomore infielder Nolan Reiman (Morton, H.S.), a nursing major
To be eligible, student-athletes must have a 3.50 grade point average and be a major contributor to their team.
Akins was selected for consideration to the CSC Academic All-America® Team.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
