There are no heights that generous folks in Bloomington-Normal won’t go to for their favorite charities. And on Saturday, June 12, the roof of the Marriott was filled with 72 people who had raised a minimum of $1,000 each for the privilege of rapelling down the Marriott to raise money for the Child Protection Network and the Boys & Girls Club.

Despite early morning temperatures in the low 90s, (which made it over 100 degrees on the roof) a crowd of family, friends and onlookers gathered at the foot of the hotel to cheer on the rapellers as they made their way down, some doing it for the second time.
