As the midterm election approaches, the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) is inviting Illinois State University students to submit their designs for a special Election Day "I Voted" sticker. Students can submit designs to CivicEngagement@IllinoisState.edu by October 5.
Entries will be ranked by a CCE committee and the Voter Engagement Coalition. The top two entries will advance to a final vote at Voterpalooza, a new event celebrating voting at Illinois State. Voterpalooza will take place on October 27 (National Vote Early Day) in the Bone Student Center Brown Ballroom from 4-6 p.m.
Students attending the event will be able to cast their vote for their favorite sticker design, play games for prizes, and connect with campus and community resources to learn more about the voting process. The student art that wins the popular vote at Voterpalooza will win a CCE swag bag, a Bone Student Center gift card, and will have their design featured as an exclusive 2026 voter sticker option at CCE greeter tables on Election Day.
Students are also encouraged to begin preparing for the upcoming midterm election on Tuesday, November 3. Online voter registration is open via TurboVote through October 18. Students can choose to register to vote with their Illinois State University address or their permanent home address. For those interested in voting before Election Day, early voting for McLean County residents begins September 24 at the McLean County Government Center. Students registered with their on-campus address can vote early in the Bone Student Center Prairie Room 3 from October 27-30 and on November 2.
