Freshman Allison Enchelmayer fired a 2-over-par 76 to claim medalist honors and lead Normal Community High School's girls golf team to its first regional championship since 2001 on Wednesday.
With a sweep of the top three individual placings, the Ironmen shot 318 to win the Champaign Centennial Class AA Regional on the University of Illinois Blue Course at Savoy by 35 strokes over runner-up Minooka. Champaign Central advanced third with a 354, while Normal West was fifth (387) and Bloomington eighth (436).
Enchelmayer was followed by teammates Jenna DeMay (77) and Cheyenne Broquard (79). The Ironmen's other counting score was Claire Crabill, who shot 86 to tie for fifth.
Also advancing to Monday's NCHS Sectional at Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State were Normal West individuals Grace Maynard (92), Micaela Harris (95) and Hayley Mason (100).
Prairie Central, EPG go 1-2: Prairie Central shot 407 to win the Woodland Class A Regional at the Pontiac Elks Country Club where El Paso-Gridley advanced second with a 412 followed by Seneca (428).
Pontiac was fourth (439), Woodland sixth (447), Fieldcrest seventh (486) and Dwight eighth (487).
The medalist by eight strokes was individual qualifier Shelby Keen of Woodland with an 82.
Also advancing to Monday's LaGrange Park Nazareth Academy Sectional were Pontiac's Molly Ruddy (90) and Ali Schrock (91), Woodland's Haley Hoekstra (93), Lexington's Kylie Brown (102) and Dwight's Morgan Zabel (107).
Prairie Central's scorers were Hannah Conlisk (95), Molly Lane (99), Gera Reis (107) and Megan Rafferty (107). EPG was led by Makenna Parkhosue (96).
Eureka triumphs: Eureka shot 363 to win the Putnam County Class A Regional by 14 strokes over Metamora at Edgewood Golf Course in McNabb.
The Hornets, who advancef to Monday's Peru St. Bede Sectional at Spring Valley's Spring Creek Golf Course, were led by medalist Payton Hodel with an 82. Other Eureka scorers were Carolyn Pacocha (91), Hayley Coffman (91) and Morgna Greene (99).
Iroquois West wins: In the Watseka Class A Regional, Iroquois West won by 14 strokes over Beecher after shooting a 397 Shewami Country Club in Sheldon. The Raiders advanced to Monday's Nazareth Academy Sectional.
Medalist Stephanie Mims led Iroquois West with a 95, which put her one stroke ahead of Beecher's Karly Weisel.
The Raiders' Stephanie Orr tied for third at 98 while Taylor McTaggart tied for fifth at 100. Also scoring for Iroquois west was Ariel Medina (104).
Lincoln third: Lincoln shot 396 to finished third in the Williamsville Class A Regional at The Rail Golf Club in Sherman. Rochester won with 331, followed by Williamsville at 350.
Advancing individually to the Rochester Sectional, also at The Rail, were Illini Central's Jenah Thompson (94) and Bre Whittaker (100) and Mount Pulaski's Lauren Anderson (103). Rachel Locknour paced Lincoln with 90.
