NORMAL - Senior guard Erin Halloran scored a game-high 22 points and the Pontiac High School girls basketball team rallied in the third quarter to knock off Normal West, 55-48, in a nonconference game Tuesday night at the West gymnasium.

The Wildcats (3-11) jumped out to a 13-11 lead after one quarter and maintained the advantage through the second period to lead 24-21 at the half.

Pontiac (6-6) outscored West 19-7 in the third quarter, as the Wildcats went 3 for 19 from the field, to take a 40-31 lead with one quarter to play.

"In the third quarter, Halloran dominated from the 3-point line and really set the tone for the game," said West coach Steve Price. "We had several scoring opportunities, but didn't finish."

Sophomore guard Ashley Timmerman added 10 points for Pontiac.
