NORMAL - A man involved in a motorcycle accident Saturday evening has died, according to the McLean County Coroner's Office.

Coroner Beth Kimmerling said the man was pronounced dead at BroMenn Regional Center early Sunday morning. The name of the man, a resident of Normal in his 30s, is being withheld until the family is notified.

The accident happened around 7:45 p.m. Saturday at Clinton Place and Hillcrest Avenue, Normla police said. A motorcycle carrying a man and a woman skidded off the road and slammed into a concrete embankment. Police said the man hit the embankment and suffered head trauma.

A woman on the motorcycle was also injured when she was thrown from the motorcycle onto a grass park. Her condition was not available Sunday night.

The Normal Police Department is investigating the accident. An autopsy is scheduled for sometime this week.
