PEORIA - Terry L. Baker, 61, Peoria, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 23, 2006) at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on Dec. 28, 1944, in Lincoln, son of Samuel E. and Erma L. Bahn Baker. He married Jenifer “Jennie” Wade Rowe on May 1, 1966, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Surviving are his loving wife of almost 40 years; his mother of Creve Coeur; one son, Eric (Sheila) Baker and one daughter, Traci (her fiancÂ©, Aaron Bresko) Baker, all of Peoria; one granddaughter, Amber; two stepgranddaughters, Danielle and Andrea; two sisters, Dixie Biggs, Washington, and Denise Baker, Peoria; one brother, Bruce (Rosemary) Baker, Low Point; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and a nephew.
Terry was very devoted to his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father on Nov. 23, 1973.
Terry worked at United States Cold Storage in East Peoria for 32 years, retiring in 2000 as office manager.
He was a United States Air Force veteran.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after services.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
