MINIER - Roy "Bud" Farlin, 81, Minier, died at 10:18 a.m. Saturday (April 15, 2006) at Hopedale Medical Complex.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Lawrence Hucker officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund.
He was born May 13, 1925, at Atlanta, to Roy Jasper and Mary Ethel Mallory Farlin. He married Patsy Garr on Jan. 6, 1963, at Waynesville. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Melia (Ed) Smith, Germantown, N.Y., and Dana (Gimseong) Koay, St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Bethany Marshall, Kelly (Derek) Lovins, Carrie Jackson, William Roy Jackson, Mallory Koay, Amaya Smith and Anthony Smith; great-grandchildren, Hailey Lovins and Trystin and Nathaniel Marshall; five stepgrandchildren; and two sisters, Eileen (Steve) Wilson and Marilyn Marple, both of Bloomington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.
He worked at Caterpillar for 45 years
He was a member of Clinton First Church of the Nazarene, Clinton. He was a graduate of Stanford High School Class of 1944.
Mr. Farlin enjoyed wood working/crafting. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be missed by his family and friends.
