CLINTON - Mildred I. Evoy, 80, of Clinton died at 6:46 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 28, 2006) at her family residence in Clinton.
A memorial service will be at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
She was born July 9, 1925, in Jacksonville, a daughter of LeRoy and Effie Hacker Young.
Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Conard, Clinton; one grandson, Brett (Lisa) Alvis, Clinton; two brothers, Robert Young, Virginia, Ill., and Eugene (Betty) Young, Macon, Ga.; and two sisters, Maxine Kruse, Virginia, Ill., and Shirley (Benny) Egnot, Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.She was affiliated with Clinton Presbyterian Church.
She retried from Eureka Williams in Bloomington in 1990, after 15 years of service. She was a loving mother and best friend to her daughter, Debbie. She enjoyed eating out, the great outdoors and spending time with her grandson, Brett, who was the light of her life.
