ROANOKE – Lyle E. Moser, 88, of Roanoke, passed away 8:35 p.m. Friday (March 24, 2017) at Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke.
He was born Oct. 7, 1928, in Roanoke, to Edward and Olga Greuter Moser. He married Barbara E. Nohl on June 19, 1949, in Eureka. She passed away July 7, 2016.
Surviving are two daughters, Gladys (Tom) Carr, Secor, and Sue Garber; two sons, Greg (Sharlene) Moser and Todd (Kathy) Moser; one son-in-law, Rick Gerber; two brothers, Harley (Gerri) Moser and Glenn (Christa) Moser; and one sister, Barbara (Richard) Stoller; all of Roanoke; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Mark and Leslie; one daughter, Shirley Gerber; one brother, Calvin Moser; one granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Gerber; and one great-grandson, Micah Gerber.
Lyle was self-employed throughout his career; he farmed and held various sales positions in the area before he retired. He was known for his sense of humor and his love of music. He especially enjoyed singing hymns in his men’s group and at church. Most of all, Lyle loved his family and cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren.
Lyle was a member of Roanoke Apostolic Christian Church, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home, Roanoke, and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
