FOOSLAND — Jack B. Miller, 74, of rural Foosland, died at 5:48 p.m. Friday (March 17, 2017).
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells St., Paxton, with Pastor Neal Houser officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Foosland.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Jack was born March 30, 1942, in Bloomington, the son of Harry Edwin and Leta Maude Ethington Miller. He married Lyndia McPherson Sept. 26, 1971, at the Methodist Church in Gibson City. She survives.
Along with his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Christine (Jim) Mays of Peoria; one son, Travis Edwin (Tammy) Miller of Dewey; five grandchildren, Michelle Schultz, Jordyn Schultz, Dylan Michael Miller, Jacob McReynolds, and Kirstin Mays; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Pearce; and one brother, Robert (Debra) Miller of Johnston City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harry Edwin Miller.
Jack spent his childhood in rural Foosland. He graduated from Fisher High School and served six years with the Illinois National Guard, Urbana. After his marriage, he and his wife lived in rural Gibson City before moving to the farm in rural Foosland in 1986.
He was a member of the Gibson City Masonic Lodge 703. Jack was the owner of Jack’s Auto Repair, 115, E. 8th St., Gibson City.
