NORMAL - Elizabeth Lanelle Jackson, 81, Normal, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday (Aug. 24, 2007) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Her graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Symsonia Cemetery, Symsonia, Ky. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to Community Cancer Center of Normal. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.
She was born Nov. 8, 1925, at Symsonia, Ky., daughter of J. Hollie and Lucy Rountree Barnes. She married George E. Jackson on July 29, 1942. He died Nov. 16, 1969.
Surviving are one daughter, Patricia (Alan) Hymans, Springfield; one son, Rick (Nancy) Jackson, Normal; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Her parents; an infant son, Danny Lynn Jackson; and one sister, Bettie Capps, preceded her in death.
She was a 50-plus year member of the First United Methodist Church, Normal. She was a loving mother, sister and MamMaws. She will be missed by all who knew her.
