Fairbury - Dorothy Mae Wells, 85, of Fairbury died at 8 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 7, 2007) at Heritage Manor, Colfax.
Her visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.
A family funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, also at the memorial home in Fairbury. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Wing.
Dorothy was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Piper City, a daughter to Ollie and Leatha Lightly Collins. She married Howard Wells on March 3, 1937, in Pontiac. He preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1994.
Surviving are two daughters, Virginia (Ray) Greenwell, Fairbury; and Patty (Don) Litchfield, Chenoa; one son, Richard (Terri) Wells, Fairbury; one brother, Richard (Selene) Collins of Florida; one half sister, Melvina Feltner of Michigan; one stepbrother, Ernie Serene of Michigan; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Juanita Dellinger; two sisters; two stepbrothers; and one half brother.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to Heritage Manor, Colfax, or the American Diabetes Association.
