BLOOMINGTON - Billy Joe Simmons, 67, Bloomington, died at 4:44 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 23, 2009) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Memorial service: 3 p.m. today at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, with military honors by Louis E. Davis Post 56 and Carl S. Martin American Legion Post 635. Ryan Pankey will officiate.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. today at the memorial home.
Memorials: in lieu of flowers, to the family.
Survivors: lifelong partner, Judy Pankey; children, Wayne (Lynn) Simmons and Billy Joe Simmons, both of Spartanburg, S.C.; Michelle Simmons, Foley, Ala.; and Josh Simmons, Normal; brother, Jerry Simmons, Woodruff, S.C.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
