BLOOMINGTON — Kimberly A. Reinitz, 68, of Bloomington, formerly of Heyworth and Rockford, passed away at 11:55 a.m. Sunday (April 16, 2017) at Martin Health Center, Bloomington.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at United Church of Heyworth. The Rev. Linda Vonck will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in Randolph Township Cemetery, rural Heyworth. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, is handling arrangements.
Kim was born Feb. 9, 1949, in Bloomington, to Delmar and Roma Joy Haskett Reinitz. They preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister, Rhonda Reinitz, Heyworth; one niece, Kortney Reinitz, Normal; nephew, Brett (Melissa) Lauher, Heyworth; three great-nieces, Chloe, Anora and Caroline Lauher; one uncle, Marvin Reinitz, Michigan; and one aunt, Rose Dawson, Bloomington.
Kim loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. She was also passionate about sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and NCAA basketball. She also enjoyed reading. Kim worked more than 25 years in banking management in the Rockford area. She retired in 2000.
Kim’s family would like to say a special thank-you to Dr. Sriratana and the staff at Community Cancer Center for her excellent care over the past 10 years as well as the third floor staff at Westminster Village for their support and kindness.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Cancer Center or Heyworth Food Pantry.
