Bloomington man released from custody on drug charges

UPDATE: David S. Jenkins pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful delivery of cocaine. He was sentenced to four days in jail and 30 months of probation. He received credit for two days served in jail.

BLOOMINGTON — Drug charges are pending for a Bloomington man.

David S. Jenkins, 55, is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

He is accused of possessing between 1 and 15 grams of cocaine on Tuesday.

Jenkins was released from custody on a $50,000 personal recognizance bond.

An arraignment is scheduled for July 2.
