BLOOMINGTON — Drug charges are pending for a Bloomington man.

David S. Jenkins, 55, is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

He is accused of possessing between 1 and 15 grams of cocaine on Tuesday.

Jenkins was released from custody on a $50,000 personal recognizance bond.

An arraignment is scheduled for July 2.

Chicago Bears coach Matt Nagy cemented the spot Justin Fields has in the quarterback pecking order by saying he can't win the starting position for Week 1, but then called it a quarterback competition.
