Bill Flick – Flick Facts

QUESTION: Illinois State University was founded as a teachers college. But is it really that anymore?

ANSWER: Yes, it still is. At the close of spring semester 2015 at a university of more than 20,000 students, 1,057 were elementary education majors, the leading major at the university. That was followed by Special Education majors with 844. Rounding out the top five, to show ISU is also no longer JUST a "teachers college," were business administration majors, 792; marketing majors, 720; and nursing majors, 610.
