Some weather and flu- related scheduling changes involving high school sports in Central Illinois:
• Heavy rain has forced a change in the site and time for Friday's Normal Community vs. Moline boys soccer regional championship match.
The match was scheduled for 5 p.m. at East Moline United Township High School. However, poor field conditions led to the switch to Rock Island High School, which has an all-weather playing surface.
NCHS and Moline will play at 8 p.m. for the Class 3A regional title following a 6 p.m. Class 2A match between Geneseo and Freeport.
• University High School's freshman football game Friday against Prairie Central at Fairbury has been canceled because of wet field conditions caused by heavy rain in the area.
The U High vs. Prairie Central varsity contest, originally scheduled to start at 7:45 following the freshman game, has been moved up to a 7 p.m. kickoff.
• Iroquois West High School's football game against Watseka, scheduled for Friday night at Gilman, was canceled because of a flu outbreak at Watseka. Watseka forfeited the game.
The outbreak caused Watseka to close school Thursday and Friday.
