Girls basketball: Prairie Central Turkey Tourney

FAIRBURY - Kaley Corban scored 27 points Saturday, including 10 in the first quarter, as Prairie Central High School's girls basketball team posted a 72-52 victory over Ridgeview in the championship game of the Prairie Central Turkey Tournament at Fairbury on Saturday.

Abby Popejoy added 16 points for the Hawks (4-0), while tourney-MVP Whitney Scurlock finished with 12. Paige Nord scored 15 points to lead Ridgeview (3-1). Lauren Kellar and Jasmine Hughes each added nine for the Mustangs.

Fink paces Iroquois West: Audra Fink scored a game-high 20 points to lead Iroquois West to a 56-53 double-overtime victory over Flanagan-Cornell-Woodland in the third-place game of the Prairie Central Tournament.

Nikki Fatka added 13 points for Iroquois West (2-2) while Emily Gundy scored 12 points to lead the Falcons (1-3).

Ridgeview tops Tri-Point: Paige Nord, Lauren Kellar and Megan Jones scored 12 points apiece to lead the Mustangs to a 56-32 victory over Tri-Point in an early game at Fairbury. Livvy Phillips scored a game-high 19 points to lead Tri-Point (0-4) while Jana Meister finished with 12.

Prairie Central downs F-C-W: Abby Popejoy scored a game-high 19 points to lead Prairie Central to a 75-33 victory over the Falcons at Fairbury. Kaley Corban added 12 points for the Hawks.
