Brown leads Red Hots past CIGS Rebels in state tourney

GALESBURG -- Kathy Brown struck out 10 and drove in two runs to pace the Bloomington-Normal Girls Softball Association 18-under Red Hots to an 11-3 victory over CIGS Rebels on Thursday in the Amateur Softball Association State Tournament at Galesburg.
Brittany Taylor also had two RBIs for the Red Hots, who also dropped a 1-0 decision to the East Peoria Express.
