INDIANAPOLIS -- The BNGSA Avanti's Angels bounced back to win the nightcap after dropping their opener in first-day play at the Circle City Showcase in Indianapolis on Friday.
The Angels fell to Indy Dreamers Gold, 3-1, in game one despite a nine-strikeout effort from losing pitcher Megan Nonnemacher (12-2). Kimmy Hassel doubled and drove in the Angels' lone run while Emma Clark had two hits.
Kristen Baldwin hit a grand slam and drove in five runs as the Angels (21-5) roared back in game two with an 8-0, five-inning win over Northern Ilinois Ice. Kelsey Williams (8-4) limited the Ice to three hits while striking out six to pick up the win.
