Dallas Babineaux

MACKINAW -- U.S. Air Force Airman Dallas A. Babineaux has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Babineaux is the son of Dallas Babineaux, Mackinaw.

National Guard

William Gaefcke

STREATOR -- Army National Guard 1st Lt. William R. Gaefcke has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal for supporting the mission of Operation Enduring Freedom. He also has received the Combat Action Badge.

The medal is awarded to soldiers with meritorious service or achievement. Gaefcke is a police combat mentor and trainer with the 135th Chemical Co., Machesney Park, and has served in the military for 14 years.

He is the son of William and Il Chong Gaefcke, Streator, and is a graduate of Streator Township High School; Illinois Valley Community College, Oglesby; and Illinois State University, Normal.
