EUREKA -- A 17-year-old Eureka woman was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash Thursday, the Woodford County coroner said in a statement.

Alyssa G. Burns was pronounced dead at 12:55 p.m. at the scene of the crash on County Road 800 North just west of 1900 East, said Coroner Tim Ruestman. Burns was eastbound on 800 North when she reportedly lost control of her Buick Rendezvous and entered the south ditch, he said.

The vehicle rolled several times and Burns was ejected, Ruestman said.

The crash remains under investigation by the coroner's office and the sheriff's department.

Burns is the daughter of the Rev. Joseph and Terri Burns, he said.
