PEORIA - Bradley University officials say the school is two-thirds of the way to its five-year, $150 million fundraising goal.
Officials on Thursday announced plans for a new engineering and business center. Bradley also plans to create a new alumni center and strengthen its endowment as part of what university officials are calling the Bradley Renaissance.
The school has raised $104 million, including a $30 million commitment by Peoria-based Caterpillar. In addition, Caterpillar is offering $18 million in matching grants, boosting the company's potential donation to $48 million.
Bradley board of trustees chairman Gerald Shaheen says the funds will allow the school to provide more scholarships to attract a diverse, talented student body.
