SPRINGFIELD - Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich says he has "not done anything wrong" in the wake of a published report that a former aide recorded conversations with him at the behest of federal investigators.
Blagojevich spokesman Lucio Guerrero issued a statement Friday saying Blagojevich has been "working on the things that matter most to the people of Illinois" such as jobs, budget and housing problems.
Guerrero said: "The governor has not done anything wrong, improper or illegal."
The Chicago Tribune has reported that lobbyist and former Blagojevich aide John Wyma wore a recording device when speaking with Blagojevich. Federal prosecutors are investigating Blagojevich for alleged corruption on several fronts.
