NEW YORK - Police are looking for a man who they say stabbed a New York City bus driver to death after not receiving a free transfer.
The driver picked up the suspect Monday afternoon in Brooklyn. The man swiped an invalid fare card and sat down, then asked for a transfer slip usually available to riders.
Police say the driver told the man he didn't pay for the ride and couldn't get a transfer. The man then punched the driver in the head and stabbed him in front of other passengers.
The suspect fled on foot.
