Hotel's diesel air compressor damaged

NORMAL - A hotel in Traders Circle sustained criminal damage May 31, a Normal police report said. Two unknown suspects trespassed onto the hotel property and caused $2,000 in damage to a diesel air compressor.

Burglary - A company in the 1400 block of Fort Jesse Road was burglarized overnight between May 30 and May 31, a Normal police report said. A sheet of aluminum valued at $1,800 and four batteries valued at $600 were stolen. There was no sign of forced entry.

Vandalism - Nine windows were broken in a van Monday or Tuesday at McLean Road just north of Illinois 122, a McLean County sheriff’s police report said.

Damage to property - A woman's apartment in the 300 block of South East Street, Danvers, was vandalized May 29, a McLean county sheriff's report said. An unknown suspect put glue in the deadbolt lock in order to damage it.

Man accused of sex registry violation

Bloomington - A 21-year-old Bloomington man is charged with violating the sex offender registration act. Lucas Steele of the 700 block of West Monroe street remains in custody in lieu of posting $500. Court documents said Steele registered as homeless with Bloomington police May 5, but neglected to register every five days since, as required of the homeless under the sex offender registration act. Bloomington police arrested Steele May 31.

Domestic battery - A 34-year-old Bloomington man is charged with two counts of domestic battery. Vincente Bustos-Flores of the 1300 block of Pinehurst drive remains in custody in lieu of posting $100. Court documents said Bloomington police arrested Bustos-Flores May 31 at Shooters Lounge when he admitted to them that he had grabbed the victim by the neck and struck her across the face.
