BLOOMINGTON - State authorities are still investigating a 2-month-old girl's death at a Bloomington day care, and the business remains closed during that inquiry, a Department of Children and Family Services spokesman said.

Brooklyn Andres died of asphyxia May 16. A caregiver put her down for a nap, and she was later found face-down and unresponsive on a waterbed, the coroner previously said. She was pronounced dead at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Bloomington police spokesman Duane Moss said Friday it does not appear anyone will face criminal charges in the girl's death. A detective told him the investigation may finish midway through next week, he said.
