Someone broke a window to a home and stole a video game console, jewelry and cash Thursday in north Normal, police said.

The items were taken between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the 1400 block of Ironwood Drive, police said.

BLOOMINGTON - A 36-year-old Bloomington man is accused of sexually assaulting a girl younger than 18 between December 1999 and September 2007.

And he is accused of hitting a woman and grabbing her by the neck Dec. 15.

Donnie A. Maxwell, of the 200 block of Valley View Circle, was held Friday in lieu of $10,500 on charges of criminal sexual assault and domestic battery.

Theft - A 34-year-old man is accused of transferring price tags between a computer and an electric razor in an attempt to get the computer for a cheaper price Thursday at a Bloomington store.

Yakkali Sudhakar, of the 3200 block of Oriole Way in Bloomington, was held Friday in lieu of $500 on a charge of retail theft.

Deceptive practices - A 30-year-old Bloomington woman is accused of using three bank accounts to write 10 bad checks together worth about $1,600.

Malissa N. Temple, of the 2400 block of East Washington Street, was held Friday in lieu of $200 on three counts of deceptive practices.

Theft - A 20-year-old man from Normal is accused of stealing electronics and video games from a woman Feb. 15.

John L. Plummer, of the 1200 block of Major Street, was held Friday in lieu of $1,000 on a felony theft charge.

Deceptive practices - A Bloomington woman is accused of writing two bad checks together worth about $400 Dec. 19 in Normal.

Ronette L. Knox, 26, of the 400 block of West Mulberry Street, was held Friday in lieu of $100 on a charge of deceptive practices.
