KAPPA -- A fight at the Kappa Kabana earlier this week remains under investigation by the Woodford County Sheriff's Department.
Chief Deputy Darren Evans confirmed the fight took place at 3 a.m. Thursday at the strip club, but he referred all questions to Woodford County State's Attorney Michael Stroh. Calls to Stroh were not immediately returned on Friday.
McLean County Sheriff Mike Emery said two McLean County deputies responded to the fight to offer aid to the Woodford County deputy who initially responded to the call. Kappa is about seven miles north of Normal and just across the county line.
Emery said two suspects fled by the time McLean County deputies arrived at the Kappa strip club.
One victim was still at the scene but was unconscious, Emery said. That person was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, but Emery did not know what hospital or the victim's condition.
Two suspects were subsequently stopped by Normal police on the north side of town, Emery said. Normal turned the suspects over to Woodford County sheriff's police, he added.
Emery referred all further questions to Woodford County officials.
Employees at the strip club declined to comment Friday.
