BLOOMINGTON -- Two Bloomington police officers were hurt while trying to arrest a 19-year-old man, McLean County prosecutors said.
The man faces three counts of obstruction of justice and two counts of resisting police officers. He remained in custody Saturday in lieu of posting $2,000.
Three officers responded Friday a "remove subject" call to a west-side eatery. The alleged assailant, a Bloomington man, refused to leave, and gave a false name and birthday when officers said he was named on a warrant.
He ran for the door and struggled with the officers, who used a stun gun and pepper spray to subdue him. One officer was cut on the hand. Another had bruises and a pulled groin, requiring treatment.
