PEORIA - Tickets go on sale at noon Friday for a Peoria Civic Center concert featuring veteran rockers Styx.

The concert, in the Civic Center Theater, is set for 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22.

Seats are priced at $43.75 and $59.75, and will be available at the venue's box office as well as all area Ticketmaster locations.

Formed in Chicago in the early '70s, Styx hit its peak in the mid-'70s to early-'80s, producing a series of bestselling albums ("Cornerstone," "Paradise Theater") and Top 10 radio singles ("Babe," "Come Sail Away," "Too Much Time on My Hands").

The current lineup features long-term members James Young, Tommy Shaw and Chuck Panozzo, as well as two who joined up in the '90s, drummer Todd Sucherman and keyboardist-guitarist Lawrence Gowan.

The newest member is bass guitarist Ricky Phillips, who joined in 2003.
