CHAMPAIGN - A classic rock double-header featuring Cheap Trick and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts will bat out around 30 years' worth of hits at the University of Illinois Assembly Hall in Champaign this spring.
The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. March 28, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Assembly Hall box office and area Ticketmaster outlets. Prices range from $29 to $38.
The Chicago-based Cheap Trick began its long run more than three decades ago. The band's hits include "I Want You to Want Me," "Surrender" and "The Flame."
The band also wrote and performs the theme song for Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" and Fox's "That 70's Show."
Cheap Trick's most recent album is 2006's "Rockford," named after their home town.
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts began their hit-making run in the early '80s, peaking with the No. 1 smash, "I Love Rock N' Roll."
Jett is currently host of "Joan Jett's Radio Revolution" on Sirius' Faction.
