BLOOMINGTON -- Illinois Wesleyan University's dancing music-theater major, Evan Kasprzak, will be hoofing his way back toward Central Illinois this fall.

But not as a student.

Kasprzak, currently one of the Top 8 finalists on the hit Fox series "So You Think You Can Dance," has been announced as one of the 10 dancers on the show's national fall tour.

The tour's only downstate stopover is Oct. 4 at the University of Illinois Assembly Hall in Champaign.

Tickets are $38.50 to $56, and go on sale at 10 a.m. July 25 via the Assembly Hall box office and area Ticketmaster locations.

Kasprzak, who hails from Bloomfield, Mich., completed his junior year at IWU and will be taking off at least the fall semester before returning to the Twin Cities to complete his senior year.

He auditioned for "So You Think You Can Dance" with his brother, Ryan, who also made in onto the series. Eventually Evan was selected over his brother to compete in the Top 20.

Joining Kasprzak are fellow fifth-season finalists Ade Obayomi, Brandon Bryant, Janette Manrara, Jason Glover, Jeanine Mason, Kayla Radomski, Kupono Aweau, Melissa Sandvig and Kasprzak's dancing partner on the show, Randi Evans.

All of the contestants who made it as a Top 10 finalist qualify for the tour. The competition continues with Wednesday's show.

Featured in the touring edition will be the most popular dance routines as well as pieces created specifically for the tour.

A disclaimer has been attached to the tour, stating "due to the physical nature of the performances, not all dancers may perform; dancers are subject to change."
