Motorcycle ice racing returns to Coliseum

BLOOMINGTON -- One of last year’s most popular events at Bloomington’s U.S. Cellular Coliseum is returning for seconds: I.C.E. World Championship Ice Racing, sliding into the venue at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24.

Tickets are now on sale at the Coliseum box office and area Ticketmaster outlets, and are priced at $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under, and $26 for VIP seats.

Featured in the races are competition among Manufacturers World Cup motorcycles and Unlimited Outlaw Quads.

In addition to pro riders, the I.C.E. also offers three amateur classes for aspiring racers, who are allowed to compete in specially customized go-karts and mini-bikes.

Entry forms can also be picked up at Sportland Honda Yamaha Kawasaki Suzuki & Polaris, 2045 Ireland Grove Road, Bloomington.
