Janet Mae Gloyd
COLFAX -- Janet Mae Gloyd, 86, of Colfax died at 10:05 a.m. Friday (Feb. 22, 2008) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax, with the Rev. Dan Jassman officiating. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax, and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the memorial home.
Mrs. Gloyd was born May 24, 1921, in Paxton, the daughter of Otis and Myrtle Truesdell Dover. She married Kenneth G. Gloyd Jan. 10, 1942, in St. Charles, Mo. He survives in Colfax.
Also surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (Larry) Poppe, Colfax; and Julie (Rick) Warthan, Vincennes, Ind.; six grandchildren, Janice (Jeff) Edwards, Plainfield; Brad (Teresa) Poppe, Lexington; Jennifer Poppe, Nashville, Tenn.; Todd Worthington, La Porte, Ind.; and Kayleigh Warthan and Erick Warthan, both of Vincennes, Ind.; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Gloyd was a lifelong resident of Colfax, having graduated from Colfax High School in 1939. She was a member of the Colfax Christian Church.
