Just a thought... wrote on Oct 30, 2007 4:19 PM:

" I would rather see each town have a Halloween party for all their kids at a local school, perhaps high school, gym. As long as they are chaperoned and parents are willing to participate...Could be a lot of fun for the kids. Why not show off their costumes? It's not like they are allowed to wear them to school any more like we did when we were kids. "

" That trick or treating has dulled down in this town big time. I remember when I was little there were hundreds of kids in all the neighborhoods... now, the neighborhoods with the most children in them won't even have the porch lights on or any kids trick or treating... It's getting sad... We have to drive to thicker neighborhoods and just stop at the ones with most children and houses.. otherwise it's just boring... "
