Mixed results for crime stats in other area counties
Some Central Illinois counties saw their crime rates drop while others saw increases from 2005 to 2006 in state police data for major crime categories.
Livingston County, including Pontiac, had about 11 percent fewer crimes reported to state police in 2006, and crime dropped in every category except sexual assaults, which were up from nine to 12.
