Outstanding accomplishments by Pantagraph-area athletes

Baseball



-- Eric Fisher, Taylor Springer and Joshua Deal had three hits apiece in Tri-Valley's 16-0 win over Lexington at Downs.

-- Jim Kuban had three hits and Jordan Pflederer added two hits and an RBI as Tremont downed Ridgeview, 9-2, at Colfax.

-- Landon Reutter blasted two solo home runs for the Timberwolves, but it wasn't enough as CPCI fell 7-3 to Watseka at Cissna Park. Jeffrey Maurer struck out 12 in six innings for CPCI.

-- Lucas Folkerts was the winning pitcher and also had two hits and two RBI in Flanagan's 12-6 victory at Fisher.

-- Paul Conklin had four hits, including a double, and drove in a run in Iroquois West's 13-3 win over Tri-Point at Gilman.

-- Andrew Mullins singled and hit a two-run homer to lead Roanoke-Benson to a 9-4 victory over Streator Woodland in a Tri-County Conference game at south Streator. Elias Bertschi, Dave Zimmermann and Jacob Bevitt added two hits for the Rockets while C.J. Lefler doubled and singled for Woodland.

-- Neil Wright allowed just one hit and recorded seven strikeouts en route to a shutout victory as Mahomet-Seymour defeated host Olympia 2-0.

Softball



-- Hannah Sanidas had three hits and two RBI as Tri-Valley downed Lexington 17-0 at Downs.

-- Stephanie Humbert had two hits, including a double, and went the distance on the mound to pick up the victory in leading Dwight to an 8-0 victory over Manteno in Interstate Eight Conference softball at Dwight. Humbert limited Manteno to three hits while striking out nine. Kelli Humbert added a triple and two RBI for the Trojans.

-- Erica Miller struck out six and scattered seven hits and two runs as Tremont edged Ridgeview 3-2 at Tremont.

-- Anna Jones had three hits and three RBI as Flanagan beat host Fisher 13-0.

-- Emily England and Hailley Haning had three hits and two RBIs apiece and Laura Canopy added three hits and three RBI as Olympia routed Mahomet-Seymour 13-2 at Mahomet.

-- Kelsey Pool pitched a no-hitter and also had a triple as Iroquois West defeated Tri-Point 3-0 in a Sangamon Valley Conference game at Kempton.

-- Sarah Stremlau had a solo homer and Jessica Kalkwarf drove in three runs to lead Fieldcrest to a 9-3 win over LeRoy in a Heart of Illinois Conference game at Minonk.

-- Emily Tesdal pitched five innings of no-hit softball with 12 strikeouts as Pontiac edged Eureka 1-0 in a Corn Belt Conference game at Eureka.

-- Abby Olson slugged a two-run homer in the first inning as Hartsburg-Emden upended host Brimfield 9-1.
