From games played April 21

Softball

-- Laura Klawitter had two hits and two runs batted in for Heyworth in a 3-2 home win over Eureka, which won the nightcap, 17-9.

-- Kristin Corcoran (4-0) tossed a one-hitter, striking out seven and walking none for Streator in a 3-0 home win over Dixon.

-- Carly Kaminke fanned six and walked three while scattering four hits for Woodland in a 4-0 win over Flanagan at South Streator.

-- Kolby Hoffman’s two-run home run in the first keyed Dwight to a 3-1 home win over Westmont. Kelli Humbert (5-4) struck out 10, walked one and allowed two hits.

-- Kaitlyn Ralph threw a complete game six-hitter, striking out 10, to lead host Streator to a 3-1 win over Herscher. Samantha Riss doubled, tripled and drove in a run while Kristin Corcoran fired a four-hitter as the Bulldogs also prevailed in the night cap with a 7-1 victory.

-- Morgan Trhlik struck out 14 and walked three while giving up only three hits for Ridgeview in a 10-2 nonconference win over St. Thomas More at Colfax. Lauren Kellar had four hits to power the Mustangs offense.

-- Emily Tesdal picked up the win in each game for Pontiac as the Indians defeated Aurora West 2-0 and Joliet Catholic 4-3 at Joliet. Amy Kennedy had two doubles and three RBI on the day for Pontiac while Amanda Sartoris added three hits, including a double, and two RBI in the second game.

Tennis

-- Rylan Miyat and Lucas Trower won three times to help Normal West place second in the four-team Decatur MacArthur Doubles Tournament.

Baseball

-- Sophomore Kyle Cahill (2-3) fanned 12 during a four-hit performance for host Dwight in a 7-5 victory over Westmont.

-- CPCI (16-4, 8-0) swept a twin bill from Fisher by scores of 16-6 and 11-0 with help from Cody Siebert, who went four for five with two doubles in the opener. Quinn Steffen of CPCI struck out six during a two-hit complete game in the nightcap.

-- Matt Glenn had five hits in six at-bats to drive in a combined eight runs as Olympia swept a twin bill from visiting Ottawa Marquette, 11-1 and 15-5. Both contests were five-inning affairs.

-- Tom Embry went 4-for-5 and drove in two runs as Dee-Mack defeated Roanoke-Benson, 9-7, in the first game of a double header at Roanoke. Devin Small homered and drove in three runs for Roanoke-Benson to power the Rockets to a 9-2 win in the night cap.

-- Ross Bruenger homered, doubled and drove in five runs and Clinton scored seven runs in the seventh inning to roll to a 16-8 win over Mount Pulaski. Greg Beasley also homered and drove in three runs for the Maroons. Nick Solomon homered and doubled for Mount Pulaski.
