The bride's attendants were Jolene Harrison and Jared Harrison. The groom's attendants were Cayla Clauss and Courtney Clauss.

The reception was at Lakeside Country Club, Bloomington, followed by a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The bride, a graduate of Illinois State University, is a claim auditor at State Farm Insurance Cos. The groom, a graduate of Indiana University, is a consultant at State Farm Insurance Cos.

The couple resides in Bloomington.

Neilson-Benedict

GRIDLEY -- Donna Neilson of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Lonny Benedict of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Gridley, were married Feb. 21, 2009, on Daytona Beach.

A reception was held at the Eagles Club. Their wedding trip was a cruise out of Port Canaveral to the Bahamas.

BLOOMINGTON -- Sarah Brown and Tyler Neal, both of Aventura, Fla., were married at 3 p.m. Nov. 8, 2008, at Evelyn Chapel at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington.

Her parents are Kevin and Karen Brown of Bloomington. His parents are Judy Neal of Bloomington and the late Michael Neal.

The bride's attendants were Andrea Manning, maid of honor; and bridesmaids Anne Brown, Amanda Cushing and Leslie Mullins. The groom's attendants were Mike Current, best man; and groomsmen Mike Neal, Dan Pfeifer and Ben Webster.

The reception was at Le Radis Rouge Restaurant at The Chateau Hotel and Conference Center, Bloomington, followed by a wedding trip to Key West, Fla.

The bride has a bachelor of science in public relations from Illinois State University and is sales supervisor at Michael Kors in Boca Raton, Fla.

The groom has a bachelor of arts in political science from Illinois Wesleyan University and is pursuing his master's degree in biomedical science at Barry University in Miami, Fla.

The couple resides in Aventura, Fla.

Schmidgall-Musselman

MACKINAW -- Hannah Schmidgall of Mackinaw and Curt Musselman of Deer Creek were married at 6 p.m. Dec. 12, 2008, at the Methodist Church, Morton.

Her parents are Mark and Kimberly Schmidgall of Mackinaw. His parents are Patti and Joe Ragar of Mackinaw, and Gary and Judy Musselman of Deer Creek.

Mary Schmidgall was maid of honor and Rebekah Fritch was matron of honor. Abigail Schmidgall, Rachel Schmidgall, Ginger Kruiswyk and Moriah Bade were bridesmaids. Elizabeth Schmidgall and Ellie Schmidgall were flower girls. Dirk Musselman and Josh Fogle were best men. Ben Mountjoy, Bob Magarity, Tyler Piper and Lance Cole were groomsmen. The bride is a graduate of Dee-Mack High School and Saint Francis College of Nursing. She is a registered nurse in the emergency department at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. The groom is a graduate of Dee-Mack High School. He is a mechanic at Lighthouse Automotive in Morton.

Schmidgall-Fritch

MACKINAW -- Rebekah Schmidgall and Justin Fritch, both of Mackinaw, were married at 7 p.m. July 25, 2008, at the Mackinaw Valley Vineyard.

The reception was at JB's Reception Hall in Minier, followed by a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico.

The bride is a graduate of Dee-Mack High School and Northern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in communications. She is attending Illinois State University. She is employed at Steak 'n' Shake. The groom is a graduate of Dee-Mack High School. He is employed in the vision center at Wal-Mart in Normal.

L'Heureux-Hackman

BLOOMINGTON -- Wayne and Dana Brown of Bloomington celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family trip in early June.

Brown and Dana Johnson were married June 28, 1959, at the Fourth Street Methodist Church (Wesley United Methodist), Sterling. Their attendants were John Fazzini and Janice Sonneman.

They are the parents of Stephanie (James) Flater of Galesburg; and Julie (Mike) Legeros of Raleigh, N.C.

They have two grandchildren.

He retired in 1997 as senior vice president of investments at IAA (Country) Trust Co.

25th for Jay, Cindy Cummins

BLOOMINGTON -- Jay and Cindy Cummins of Bloomington celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary June 2.

Cummins and Cindy Langston were married June 2, 1984, at Flora Presbyterian Church, Flora, Ind. Their attendants were Mindy Langston and Randy Floyd.

They are the parents of Elisabeth Cummins, Emily Cummins and Natalie Cummins, all of Bloomington.

60th for Robert, Elaine Sandage

ARROWSMITH -- Robert and Elaine Sandage of rural Arrowsmith will observe their 60th wedding anniversary. A family celebration was held at Moraine View State Park on June 20.

Sandage and Elaine Bundy were married June 30, 1949, at rural Colfax. Their attendants were Alberta and Lawrence Roberts.

They are the parents of Janet of Sycamore; and Steven and David, both of Arrowsmith.

They have nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

They are retired from farming.

25th for David, Lynda Hruska

NORMAL -- David and Lynda Hruska of Normal will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a family trip to Hawaii.

Hruska and Lynda Poole were married June 30, 1984, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington. Their attendants were Jenny Poole and Rod Sabick.

They are the parents of Nic Hruska, Court Hruska and Caleigh Hruska, all of Normal.

He is a farmer. She is executive director of the American Red Cross of the Heartland Chapter.

25th for Kathryn Bohn, Thomas Nielson

BLOOMINGTON -- Drs. Kathryn Bohn and Thomas Nielsen of Bloomington recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

They were married on May 5, 1984, at the Cathedral in Springfield. Their attendants were Niel Nielsen and Sharon Broers.

They have one daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Nielsen of Carbondale.

They are both doctors working in emergency medicine.

Wilder and Valerie Brown were married June 30, 1984, at Daniel's Chapel AME Zion Church in Phoenix.

They are the parents of Cory Wilder, Cymone Wilder and Cedric Wilder, all of Normal.

He is a marketing analyst at State Farm Insurance Cos. She is an underwriter at State Farm Insurance Cos.

50th for Fred, Joan Chapman

BLOOMINGTON -- Fred and Joan Chapman of Bloomington celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a buffet luncheon at the First Presbyterian Church in Normal.

Chapman and Joan Kooy were married June 27, 1959, at the First Reformed Church in Lansing. Their attendants were Betty Adams and Jack McQueen.

He was a teacher, retiring in 1983, and is currently a salesman at Newton Mfg. Co.

She retired in 2003 as an administrative assistant at Bloomington Junior High School.

50th for Jim, Sharon Lee

ONARGA -- Jim and Sharon Lee of Onarga will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at a later date.

Lee and Sharon Hoover were married June 28, 1959, at Thawville Methodist Church, Thawville. Their attendants were Brenda Jones and Rodney Sturm.

They are the parents of Douglas (Lucinda) Lee, Gibson City; Steve (Teresa) Lee, Paxton; and Ken Lee, Melvin.

They have four grandchildren.

He is a farmer.

KAPPA -- Wayne and Jean Childers of Kappa celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner hosted by their daughters.

Childers and Jean Apps were married June 25, 1959, in Bloomington.

Their daughters are Kim (Lonnie) Willis, Hudson; Kalin (Ken) Aucutt, El Paso; Kris (Mark) Alexich, Liverpool, N.Y.; Kelly (Mark) Yordy, Hudson; and Karla (Troy) Kilpatick, Brookings, S.D.

They have 11 grandchildren.

He was founder of Childers Door Service and she was office manager of the company. They retired in 2000.

BLOOMINGTON -- J. Martin and Angela Freehill of Bloomington celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. Several small parties are planned.

Freehill and Angela Waterson were married June 27, 1959, at Holy Trinity Church in Bloomington. Their attendants were Leo Freehill and Donna Waterson Bugajski.

They are the parents of Marta (Rod) Bagosy, Paul (Terri) Freehill, Kelly (Everett Dale) Poppins and F.J. Freehill, all of Bloomington.

They have seven grandchildren.

He is a retired Teamster, Local 26, with Drivers Service, leased to Central Steel and Wire.

50th for Francis, Bonnie Turgeon

LEXINGTON -- Francis and Bonnie Turgeon of Lexington celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Turgeon and Bonnie Fortier were married June 6, 1959, at St. Peter Catholic Church in North St. Paul, Minn.

They are the parents of Greg (Jill) Turgeon, Normal; Michelle (Sam) Forzley, Lemont; Doug (Lori) Turgeon, Woodstock, Ga.; and Nannette (Steve) Leake, Lexington.

They have 10 grandchildren.

He is retired from Ciba-Geigy Corp.

60th for Robert, Betty Moore

BLOOMINGTON -- Robert E. and Betty L. Moore will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Chateau Hotel.

Moore and Betty L. Kaufman were married June 29, 1949, at the First Christian Church in Bloomington.

Their attendants were Roger Ehlers and Betty Flanagan Ehlers.

They are the parents of Bobilyn (Steven) Keagle, Oakwood, and Barbara A. (Dwayne) Cooper, Austin, Texas.

They have five grandchildren.

He is a 52-year member of the Sheet Metal Workers International, retiring in 1990.

She retired in 1989 after 36 years in the insurance business and as a partner in the Bertram Insurance Brokerage Inc.

45th for Doug, Judie Smith

STANFORD -- Doug and Judie Smith of Stanford celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary with a cruise of South America in March and a family dinner is also planned.

Smith and Judith Kelley were married June 21, 1964, at the Methodist Church, Farmer City. Their attendants were Lois Mansholt and Eugene Campbell.

They are the parents of Kelley (Jason) Benhart, Mount Pulaski; and Michael (Kristin) Smith, Chandler, Ariz.

They have six grandchildren.

He retired from State Farm Insurance Cos. in 1998, and is an assistant football coach at Olympia High School.

She was a kindergarten teacher at Olympia, retiring in 1999.

40th for Sam, Diane Wadsworth

EL PASO -- Sam and Diane Wadsworth of El Paso will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip in the fall to Houston, where they honeymooned, and San Antonio, Texas.

Wadsworth and Diane Hunsinger were married June 22, 1969, at First Baptist Church, El Paso.

Their attendants were Sharon Childres and Larry Wadsworth.

They are the parents of Angela (Joe) Marty, Aurora; Lori (Shawn) Beck, Normal; and Ryan (Nanalle) Wadsworth, Round Lake. They have seven grandchildren.

He was a teacher and coach, then worked at Du Pont for 24 years, retiring in 2001.

She was a high school home economics teacher in El Paso and Pontiac, and special education teacher in Roanoke-Benson, retiring in 2002.

40th for Gene, Elaine Cunningham

MINONK -- Gene and Elaine Cunningham of Minonk will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a European River Cruise on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers in July.

Cunningham and Elaine Lahr were married June 28, 1969, at First Baptist Church, Minonk. Their attendants were Robin Rubenaker and Paul Hesselberth.

They are the parents of Sean (Christine) Cunningham, Minonk.

They have two grandchildren.

He is a farmer. She was a music teacher, retiring in 2004.

60th for William, Barbara Thatcher

SHIRLEY -- William H. and Barbara Thatcher of Shirley will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. July 5 at the Covell Town Hall.

Thatcher and Barbara Workman were married July 2, 1949, at the First Baptist Church in Bloomington.

They are the parents of Connie Thatcher of House Springs, Mo., and N. Chris (Rick) Metz of Fairbury.

They have two grandchildren.

He retired in 1989 as an analyst at State Farm Insurance Cos.

She retired in 1989 as an internal auditor at Magna Bank.

Grandparents: Ralph and Martha Fehr, Fairbury; Edward and Erma Hari, Salem, Ore. She is named after her maternal aunt, the late Shirley Jean Hari.

Ava Jo Gutierrez -- 8-pound, 7-ounce daughter of Katie and Jacob Gutierrez of Carpentersville, born June 12, 2009. Sibling: Logan Paul, 2. Paul Benedict Koetters -- 8-pound, 6-ounce son of Matthew and Michelle Koetters of Bloomington, born April 1, 2009. Grandparents: Rick and Jennie Jones, Frankfort; Gerald and Peggy Koetters, Coatsburg. He is named for his great-grandfather, Paul Koetters.
